Programme Summary
Who is the programme for?
The programme is designed for emerging leaders - working in any sector - who would like to lead in a radically different way. They could be feminists who are stepping into their first leadership or managerial roles, or people keen to explore the links between leadership and feminism in greater depth.
What you can expect from the course, and us:
Our online programme will give you a fantastic opportunity to join a group of peers who want to change the way power operates in the workplace. Participants will explore how to build cultures that value everyone and learn how feminist leadership can unlock the potential for real transformation. The programme is for you if you’re looking for:
A part-time, 12-week programme of online learning grounded in feminist theory and practice
A unique opportunity to build a network of peer feminist leaders
Weekly engagement in course content via either self-led reading and reflection activities or participation in live webinars (a total of 26 hours contact time including one full-day training, and webinar sessions each lasting between 2 - 3 hours and external speaker sessions)
Discussion, learning and exploration of topics like power, intersectionality, radical approaches to self and collective care and collective action
Feminist approaches to learning and development which prioritise peer learning rather than lengthy lectures.
On live webinar weeks, we strongly encourage participants to engage in the webinar live in order to get the most from the programme. However webinars will be recorded and available for two months following the end of the course.
Flexibility in terms of how the programme is run. If you're experiencing Zoom fatigue, need more breaks, additional drop-in sessions to explore tricky concepts in more depth, we're open to feedback.
What we expect from you:
Commitment to engaging with the content. You will get as much from the programme as you put in!
Commitment to sharing what you know with others on the programme - this is not a top-down learning space. See our approach to learning for more details.
Bank on spending up to a couple of hours per week on the course - with the exception of one designated training day in which participants will spend about six hours together, spaced over the course of each day
Self-awareness, accountability and respect for others. We will not tolerate discriminatory attitudes or bullying behaviour.
